A new phone, a new friend

I have been lucky out here in my short time living here in LA. I have met some very good people who I would call very good friends. The type of friend you can call up, hang out with, and confide in. I like those type of friends. Last night, I think I met a real, honest to goodness friend.
I had to buy a new Motorola Q cell phone because of the "incident" in Nashville and the going price was 500 dollars! So, I browsed the helpful site, Craigs List, in hopes somebody would be selling their new phone a bit cheaper. Sure enough, I found Tiffany's ad. It was her sister's phone and her company had recently switched carriers, meaning she had a perfectly new phone without a home. I called up and set up a meeting with Tiffany at a coffee shop. Well, it wasn't just an exchange of money for a phone...we ended up talking for almost 3 hours. We set up plans to hang out, grab dinner, and gab about life in LA. Yes, it was a bit strange cutting her a check after coffee and I am sure people thought that I was paying for her to be my friend for a few hours. Wait...do you think I can make money doing that? Hmmmm. Anyway, I met a new friend when I just thought I was in for a new phone. Now, only if I was friends with people at the DMV who could help me with getting my license faster!
